內湖Q&A(九)180 tons of recyclables every month

Tzu Chi`s recycling volunteers are amazing. In Taiwan alone, there are some 84,000 of them who show up regularly at Tzu Chi`s recycling stations across the country to turn garbage into valuable resources. Not only do they have to endure the summer heat and winter chill, they have to endure the stench of the waste they sort. At the Tzu Neihu Grounds, over 180 tons of recyclables are processed every month. This is only possible thanks to the nearly 100 recycling volunteers who show up everyday.

慈濟的環保志工，真的很了不起，在台灣，人數就高達8萬4千多人，他們定期前往慈濟，在全國各地的環保站，把垃圾變黃金，過程中，不止要忍受夏天的酷熱、冬天的寒冷，還有垃圾的臭味，而在慈濟內湖園區，每個月就處理，超過180噸的回收物，這都是因為每天有，近百位環保菩薩來這裡報到。
