The 7th International Innovation and Invention Competition (IIIC) held its award ceremony on December 15th, 2016 in the Ambassador Hotel of Taipei. This year, 456 entries were submitted by 14 countries and regions, including Taiwan, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong , Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Russia, Croatia, Serbia, Kazakhstan, India, Morocco, South Korea, and Ukraine. Furthermore, the organizer, the Chinese Association, and co-sponsor, the Russian International Invention Association, promoted Taiwanese creativity, love and wisdom to the world.

IIIC is one of the largest international innovation and invention competitions in recent years, supporting thoughtful ideas for better living and demonstrates the increasingly outstanding innovations and vitalities of Taiwanese industry and academia. On behalf of winning the golden award this year, DA.AI’s R&D Director, Dr. Ting Hung, said, “Stands out from more than 400 manufacturers, research institutions and schools showed that our R2R concept, based on environmental protection spirit of recycling economy and loving Earth, is the world leading trend. Taiwan is a strong textile country, but the discarded textile material are causing significant impact on the environment, especially when not entered recycling process.

The problem with textile product, regardless of coming from virgin or eco materials, will eventually become garbage. So DA.AI took a meaningful step in 2012 to establish its R&D department to look for new possibility based on the Cradle to CradleR design model. Successfully recycle eco fleece fabric and develop into series of Recycle to Recycle (R2R) products, including R2R blankets, R2R vests, R2R scarves and R2R zipper, draws a milestone. DA.AI is a green brand not to promote consumption, but environmental education through eco-friendly products, and will continue on the path of sustainable economy with its innovative research and development direction.
